Recipes I have tried
Instead of cluttering up my completed list, I am posting links to the tried recipes here! I would not recommend all of them as some were not very good. See my comments:
- Crock-pot pizza casserole - This was pretty terrible and I have to say I was really disappointed.
- Yummy Slice-And-Bake Cookies - These were pretty good. I would advise popping the dough in the freezer while the oven preheats so it is easier to slice. Also be advised that they do spread out a lot as you can see from the picture.
- Butternut Squash and Gruyere Crostini - These are delicious!
- Chicken Tikka Masala - As you can see I am a big fan of PioneerWoman. I liked her before she was on TV! This recipe is very good and tastes "correct" as in it does not taste like PioneerWoman has put her own spin or trademark on it.
- Lemon Chicken Noodle Soup - Good, easy, soup-y
- Pasta Fagioli - This is tasty! I would use more tomatoes next time, also the grocery store I went to did not have pancetta so I left it out and it was still good. I have never had Pasta Fagioli before but Brian says the pancetta is optional and that this recipe is less saucy than usual but still accurate.
- Slow Cooker Thai Chicken Soup - This came out weird. It was edible but had an unpleasant texture. I would not recommend it.
- Pea Soup with Pasta and Parmesan - Great if you like peas! I used orzo for the pasta and it came out well. I also substituted turkey broth because it's what I had from Thanksgiving but I am sure chicken or vegetable would be good as well.
- Buffalo Chicken Garbage Bread - This is a lot like a calzone. Brian enjoyed it and so did I. It's not a diet food but you'd be an idiot to think that.
- Crockpot Chicken Korma - This is quite delicious! I think next time I will use chicken breasts instead of thighs because they are both healthier and easier to work with but it was very good. The yogurt really makes it.

January Recap
Not Started: 49

Days left: 811ish
Didn't accomplish much in January, I'm super busy lately but I did for the most part keep up with my photoblog which should be up to date by the end of this week. I also am allllmoooossstttt done with the 10 recipes and with one of the crochet blankets.
I'm not really super excited about this whole deal anymore. It doesn't really help that I'm kind of just sitting here doing it on my own. Nobody reads this and nobody comments and nobody cares so it does feel kind of stupid sometimes but I suppose that is a kind of lesson in itself.
